Presenting the World's Smallest MAME Cabinet!!!!  (Well almost)

Mini MAME was created about a year ago one night out of boredom, and just thinking about how cool it would be to have a more realistic looking model of my cabinet.  I had created a scale model of my cabinet out of cardboard before I began construction, but it never got any further than just a rough construction.  Using the same PDF files from Sean's website, I decided to use some plastic canvas to create a better looking model.

Having used plastic canvas a little when I was a kid I knew that it wouldn't be that hard to do.  Using the plans, I just cut out the right sized pieces, and covered them all with black yarn.  I stitched the pieces together with yarn or thread, and used colored floss for the details on the control panel and screen.  The whole thing probably took me around 6 or so hours to do, but it was worth it.  MiniMame is about 7 1/2 inches tall and as you can see here, is dwarfed by his big brother

The Control Panel was fun to do.  I used shaved down pencil erasers for the joysticks, and just multiple layers of yarn for the trackball.  I tried to keep everything to scale, and I think the overall look came out pretty good.
